Restored or rehabilitated historic structures for education and public visitation.

Location: Little Rock, AR | Project Date: 2008 - Six weeks into the rehabilitation of the 1913 Mosaic Templars of America building as a new museum for the Department of Arkansas Heritage, a transient-generated fire destroyed the building. After site cleanup, the agency requested a “faithful facsimile" be created as home for the museum, including reconstruction of the facade of the former annex building next door. The 35,000 square foot building houses first floor exhibit spaces, classroom and museum store; the second floor administrative offices; the third floor exhibit space and 500 seat auditorium. The project received a 2009 Outstanding New Construction in a Historic Setting Award from the Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas.
