Colonial Revival through the Arts and Crafts Movement



Location: Arkadelphia, AR | Project Date: 1999, 2001 - Adaptive reuse of this 8,300 square foot historic home on the Henderson State University campus as a bed and breakfast inn including six guest rooms, manger's suite, and commercial kitchen all while preserving significant public spaces. The project was implemented in two phases with stabilization and exterior repairs completed in 1999 and the interior and systems completed in 2001. The project received a 2001 Excellence in Preservation through Restoration Award from the Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas and an Honor Award in 2002 from the Arkansas Chapter/AIA.
